Marilú Alemán founded Event Creators in June 2018, and she has over 13 years of experience in marketing, event planning and coordination. She brought to life big events for the City of El Paso, Museums and Cultural Affairs Department and the El Paso Museum of History from 2013 to 2018, including the grand opening of the Digital Wall (the second of its kind in the world at the time of opening), its logo creation, branding and mascot development.
In event permitting and logistics, Marilú has under her wing massive events including Neon Desert Music Festival 2016, 2017 and 2018, being this the largest music event in El Paso, Texas having approximately 45,000 attendees over the weekend. She did the same for the local Christmas Parade Celebration of Lights, which has approximately 90,000 attendees every year, and Marilú managed logistics and permitting processes for this event in 2016, 2017 and 2018. With the experience of coordinating logistics for about 260 events a year, Marilú is ready to help you with any event needs.
She fell in love with weddings when planning her own wedding and once done with hers, she kept in the back of her mind the interest of planning weddings for other people, something that she had never done in event planning or coordination before, and wanted to explore. Her interest was more on the personal touch and details that a wedding requires, and the fact of bringing solutions to a couple so they can enjoy a stress free wedding day.
Marilú has also been behind successful advertising campaigns, including her initiative to have a sale similar to Black Friday in Ciudad Juárez, MX when she worked for the big corporate brand Liverpool, idea that she developed along with higher ups and in which she had the opportunity to work with staff in the corporate offices in México City, campaign that had great success that year in 2010. The idea had such great impact and acceptance by consumers that a year later it developed into what is now known as "El Buen Fin" and it is currently a nationwide sales weekend in México.
While working in Ciudad Juárez, MX, she conducted focus groups and market research for important local companies including Boca Rosa, Smart and Brasa. Later on, she implemented special sales strategies for the Mexican corporate Fabricas de Francia, that helped surpass the new sales goal every time.
Marilú also managed Famous Dave's marketing and advertising for the stores in El Paso, Texas for over 2 years, in which she developed campaigns in Spanish; being this the first time the brand conducted campaigns in Spanish nationwide.
She managed the marketing and advertising for signature restaurants in El Paso, TX including Café Central a fine dining restaurant and Great American Steak House for 2 years; in which she created successful and profitable campaigns. Furthermore, she has had the opportunity to attend marketing, events and leadership trainings in different cities, including México City, Austin, Las Vegas, San Francisco and San Diego. She has also been a presenter and panel member at marketing and event summits in Ciudad Juárez, MX, and Austin, TX.
She also has experience in media, including radio as she had a cultural segment in 2015 at Exa FM 98.3, and Telemundo 48, El Paso, TX. Earlier in her career, she also did TV in the Mexican channel Canal 44, back in 2007, which opened new doors to her in the media industry, and eventually led to a new opportunity in El Paso, TX with Univision 26.
With an Associate's Degree in Communications and Advertising, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Social Media Marketing, Marilú is a complete professional that can bring your dream marketing campaign or event into life, she is behind her team of graphic designers, illustrators, coordinators and other experts.
